Why a website: Starting a web site can be a big decision for any business owner, let alone a small business owner. But costs aside, web sites and other marketing tools are of great use if implemented properly. Most people (and a continuously growing amount of people) use the internet to search for retail goods, services, restaurants, etc. Many areas no longer deliver phone books. So if you are nowhere to be found online, then you won't be found anywhere. However, occasionally a business without a web address will benefit from a free generic web listing. This can be a good thing, but information on businesses with general online resources are often out-dated or contain no real information about the business at all. If you are a restaurant owner it is a great idea to have your (accurate) hours of operation, (accurate) location, and (accurate) menu available for all to see. If you run an engineering firm, it would be nice to have some examples of your work available online. As someone who uses the internet often to search for a place to eat or shop, I cannot under-emphasize "accurate." New or potential customers can be lost forever if facts as simple business hours are not available or incorrect. What we can do for you: NearWest Design can help you get a website started and published. We will sign you up with a web server, buy the domain name rights, and set up the site with your ideas in mind. The only thing you have to do is get us information regarding your business for content on the website, and simply let us know what you want. We try to handle everything within our means so you don't have to worry. In addition to web marketing services, NearWest Design is available for computer-aided drafting. We can handle a new addition, renovation, a new structure entirely, or just construction documents for contractor or city requirements (where municipalities permit).
